ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrival at our 5* hotel in Siem Reap and time at leisure to familiarize with the area and your fellow travelers before our dinner together.
Day 2
Today you will be accompanied by our 2 photographers to stunning areas of Angkor Wat to capture the beauty of the ruins immeresed in the jungle. You will have plenty of time to explore and take as many photos as you like. We never rush, we will provide reccommendation on how to take the best photos based on the light and will encourage everyone to try different perspectives and angles. You will be able to capture the beauty of Banteay Kdei – Bayon – Preah Khan – Angkor Thom.
Day 3
Today it’s one of the highlights of our tour! We rise super early to capture the sunrise over Angkor Wat.
During the day, we will explore different temples across the Angkor site, until we capture the site basking in the golden light at sunset.
Day 4
Today we leave Siem Reap to capture the beauty of the pink temples of Banteay Srei. Later, we will spend some time in the unspoilt nature of Kulen Park, a stunning location for shooting waterfalls and locals. After an optional swim in the lake, in the afternoon we proceed to a surprise private photoshoot session just for our group. On the way back there will be the opportunity to experience an authentic monk’s blessing and wander around the grounds of a monastery to watch and learn more about monks’ daily life.
Day 5
Today we explore the local communities along Tonle Sap Lake, connecting with locals and learning about their life on stilt homes. We will visit a few families and their homes, before getting on a boat to explore the communities living on floating homes further on the lake. On the way back we will cross the mangrove forest, which provides a unique natural environments to a variety of bird species. We proceed to the jungle temple of Beng Mealea. Depending on the time of the year, we will stop in the countryside on the way back to observe the work of farmers in the paddy fields.
Day 6
Today we head to one of the local markets to capture a glimpse of the real Cambodian life. Plenty of opportunities for street photography! Then we proceed to a Chreav Village to experience other aspects of the countryside life. This afternoon, we wil explore other villages before enjoying sunset from a rice field.
Day 7
We leave Siem Reap for a full day trip to Battambang. The colonial architecture, a ride on the iconic bamboo train and plenty of cheeky monkeys will keep you and you camera pretty busy!
Day 8
Today you will say goodbye to a land of smiles and simple beauty, and we hope you will bring home not just a portoflio of amazing images, but a newly discovered sense of appreciation for our world and the humans in it.
